Advantages: Helps the liitle monster do it himself.

Disadvantages: pricey

My youngest was a nightmare to toilet train. You see he suffers from second child syndrome. He learnt at an early age that he could get everyone to do everything for him! And toilet training was no different, when he did start finally going to the loo on his own he refused to wipe his own bottom and would call us to do it. We tried all sorts of tricks including bribery but he was and still is very stubborn, and then the other half came home with these. They state that they help little ones independence and give them a sense of achievement.

PACKAGING
-------------------

This was part of the reason he liked them. You buy the starter kit first. You get the main dispenser and a packet of wipes. The dispenser is a square plastic box that looks a bit squashed. The main colour is purple and the detachable base is green, a luminous green. On the top you have a green soft push button, which opens the lid, which is also green. I have noticed the lid sometimes doesn't shut and that can dry the wipes out. On the front you have a picture of the Kandoo frog wiping his bottom and the product name.
The wipes come in a small packet. They are smaller than baby wipes and the packets are either purple or green. There is a clear sticker on the top, you take that off to open the packet and take the bottom off the dispenser, you then put the wipes into the dispenser and you are ready to go. You can also re-seal the wipes if you are taking them out with you.

PRODUCT
-----------------

The wipes are about the size of 2 sheets of toilet paper, they are white, soft and moist. You get about 60 in a pack. They also have a slightly sweet fragrance. But not too girly otherwise the little monster wouldn't use them. Because the re-fills are re-sealable you can take them out with you.
You take them out of the packet one at a time, they are not perforated, so they are very easy for little hands to use.

USING
----------

Little monster found these very easy to use, they did make him feel grown up and because we told him they were his he told us when they were running out.
The only problem is you have to watch how many they use at a time as they are a bit small and it normally takes more than one to clean dirty bottoms effectively. When little monster finally started using them on his own we did find that he was using quite a lot, but that did calm down. The wipes are flushable as long as they don't use loads at one time. Little monster did complain occasionally that the wipes were a bit cold, so I stopped putting them in the fridge! (Only joking).

PRICE
----------
For the dispenser and a packet of wipes at the moment at Sainsbury's they cost £2.94.
For the refill wipes £1.45
They are very often on special offer normally 3 for 2.

RANGE
------------
They also have a hand wash frog, to encourage little ones to wash their hands. Also wash mitts so they can learn to wash themselves.

My little monster is now a bigger monster but he does still use these. He finds them easier to use than toilet paper and i must admit he uses less of the wipes than if he uses loo paper. He doesn't seem too eager to give them up; I have told him that if he is still using them when he leaves school he can pay for them himself!!
I would recommend these for little ones who are starting toilet training.

These wipes sound useful.

Are they biodegradeable? I'd worry about flushing them down the toilet as I feel they may clog up the pipes at some point and if they're not environmentally friendly either then that would be another whole issue in itself x

I laughed over the nickname "little monster". We used to call ours "happy monster"!
