Kooshies Nappies

... rash and I find them really easy to use. The Ultras, however, have not been so good for us. He's three months old now (about six-and-a-half kg) and is not yet big enough for the Ultras to fit/work properly. I only use them when I run out of Classics. On three occasions in the last two weeks he has pooed on the person who is holding him (me). He is a slim baby so does not fill out the leg part of the nappy and so the poo leaks out the side. Even when the nappy has just been changed this can happen. I also bough...more

Premium Review Kooshies Nappies: Kooshies nappy for a soft and Kooshie bottom (533 words)

We usually use Pampers and have done so for over 11 years, but recently we took up a green challenge thrown at us by friends of ours. We already used a lot of environmental products and recycle, so when they sent us some free Kooshies Ultra all in one nappies and some terries with two Bummi wraps to put the terries in, we decided to try them. Kooshies Ultras are a type of cloth nappy known as All in ONE or AIO. This simply means that there is the nappy itself with a booster and a breatheable water resistant outer cover all sewn together. The inside booster has a pocket that you can place extra boosters in. You simply put these on like you do with a disposable ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kooshies leak with me (91 words)

I decided to try kooshie ultra on my little boy. I find they leak quite badly, but I feel as if I have to use them as I bought a lot of them. They are ok for days out as you do not need a wrap with them. They also take a long time to dry, even in the drier, so I kind of put off using them a lot. They do suit some babies, but alas not mine, pity as they are so easy to put on. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kooshies Nappies: A lot of washing! (480 words)

It was a mixture of caring about the environment and saving money which made me choose re-usable nappies. My partner and I decided before our son was born when we didn't have much experience of nappies at all! My only regret is that we didn't shop around, and bought more or less the first ones we saw, which happened to be Kooshies Ultra. These are all-in-one nappies which comprise of fabric nappy, liner and outer plastic wrap joined together. There is no need to buy more liners- it doesn't make much difference to the absorbancy of the nappy. The main advantages of these nappies are from an economical point of view. You definately save ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Great swim wear (249 words)

This was one of those items I had no idea about so decided to buy the product I’d heard most about, Kooshies. There seems to be two real alternatives when it comes to taking your child swimming the reusable nappies or the disposable kind. My experience has been great with both. Kooshies come in a range of bright colours and have an absorbent lining with a mesh over the top. They are shaped well and should fit most babies without too much problem. They do up with Velcro strips and tie securely at the front with strings, although they are not flexible so you have to be careful not to over tie. Easy to put on and take off of your baby and washable so ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kooshies Nappies (195 words)

I started my little girl on the Kooshies All in One Ultra Nappies when she was about 4 weeks old. Even though she was under the starting weight to use them, they have worked out better than I had ever imagined. To start, they are an all in one nappy which is great at changing time. I don't have to put anything together except some washable booster liners (if necessary) and a one way liner (to catch and flush away any poos). So far, they haven't leaked even overnight (going from about 9 or 10pm to 5 or 6am. I have 10 total and don't do any pre soaking just the pre wash in the machine. We've used them while we're out ...  Read the complete review
