“ Brand: Asda /Type: Detangling conditioner for children „
Every time I wash my hair I usually leave in just a few squirts of leave in conditioner of some sort or another. I like a light formulation one though as I suffer with greasy roots but a very dry and prone to frizz mid section along with very often some split ends on show. A lot of leave in conditioners can be too moisturising for me even if I leave off wash in/out conditioner or they can start off ok and then go bad leaving a thick heavy residue and build up on my hair!
This one I spotted in my local Asda store costing only £1.67 for a 200ml sized bottle of it which I thought offered rather good value and being said to be suitable for any age (not just little uns!) I thought it had to be worth a go as my usual Pantene one I had been using for rather a while had gone from making my hair less knotty and more shiny to dull and lifeless!
This comes like I have already mentioned in a 200ml and that is housed in a slightly white frosted cylinder shaped bottle which of course is a big size and there is a push button dispenser to the top of it (not aerosol) and a lid/cap covers that securely. On the front of the bottle we are told that it is Asda Little Angels 'For Mum & Baby' Leave In Conditioner and that it is a no more knot formulation, is gentle enough for newborns and contains organic oat and candendula. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a bit about the product and how to use it, we are told that it is suitable for Vegetarians and to use it all up 12 months from opening it, the size is stated (to which I have stated already) and contact details for Asda are given. Nice, informative, easy to open, sturdy bottle this is and I am impressed with the size of it and the amount of product that you get for the amount you pay too!
Well the important bit if you are using this on babies or children of course is that it is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested and paediatrician approved so this is very suitable to even use on newborn babies. We are also told on the back of the bottle that this is suitable for family use, even on us grown ups which is why I bought it in the first place.
The scent of this is quite simply wonderful, I know if I had a baby or a tot I'd love to spray their hair with this as it really is very simply lovely. The fragrance has a hint of coconut to it and a little bit of floral, it's a well blended and really smooth, sweet scent this one and natural opposed to fake smelling of anything. A few squirts of this on the hair dampens my hair a little making my shoulder length hair a lot easier to comb or brush through and you can apply this to damp or dry hair....that bits up to you!
I use this after towel drying my hair, its easy to spray on and does so really evenly and I like the way it doesn't drench my hair...unless I want it to and I get a great coverage and don't end up using a lot at all per application.
This leaves my hair easy to comb/brush through, leaves my hair smelling wonderful for a good few hours and is a great refresher spray to smooth and soften my hair but to make it smell better later on as the day wears on should I need it too. This seems to very gently tame my hair too keeping frizzys at bay for a good while and my hair is left looking touchably soft but not flyaway or uncontrollable or fluffy looking as some products a bit like this have done in the past but with a nice healthy sheen to it.
Not needing a lot per application the main things that this does for my hair is make it easier to comb through as I am prone to rough and knotty hair and I love the scent it leaves lingering too and all in all this is certainly one I shall buy again in the future but saying that even though I have been using this everyday for the past 5 (ish) months and sometimes twice a day I'm still not quite to halfway down my bottle so it's a good investment this one!

We all hate knots and tangles in our hair and this is no different when it comes to my daughter's hair. My daughter although nearly 1 has long, blonde hair which holds a loose curl. Simply put its gorgeous (of course I am biased!). But due to being so long and generally getting a bit scruffy during the day and not to mention what ends up in it by the end of the day her hair can be a knotty mess!
Now normally a baby shampoo manages to take care of her hair but as her hair has got thicker she has needed a little extra help. Whilst in Asda browsing down their baby aisle I came across the Little Angels range and came across a few products, one in particular was the Asda Little Angels No More Knots Leave In Conditioner. As it is part of their two for £2.50 I thought it was worth a try.
The Leave In Conditioner comes in a tall, slim clear plastic bottle with a slim fitting bottle top and has a spray nozzle. On the front there is the product name together with the Little Angels logo and like other products in the Little Angels range there is a pink bow image around the front. On the back of the bottle are the ingredients, contact info for Asda and anything else you would expect.
The No More Knots Leave In Conditioner has been made with organic oat extract and calendula which is incredibly gentle and caring making it even suitable for newborns (should they have really knotty hair!). Like all of the Little Angels products the leave in conditioner is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested and paediatrician-approved. Like all leave in conditioners this one has been formulated to "instantly work" and to make the combing process easier and pain free.
There are no instructions on the back of the bottle so it can be a little trial and error. All you need to do to apply the leave in conditioner is spray it evenly onto wet or damp hair. The spray comes out gently and like a fine mist which manages to cover hair quite easily. Once applied it I generally leave for around 30 seconds and then comb through. Now, some people leave in over night and then rinse the next morning or you can leave the conditioner in for 5 minutes or so and then rinse. Personally, I have done both with my daughter and the results end up basically the same!
Like all parents I wouldn't let my child of nearly 1 go to bed with wet or even damp hair so I did have to wait until her hair was fully dry and by the next morning when I rinsed her hair, yes it was silky soft and when dry it was lovely and silky and of course tangle free. When rinsed off after only 5 minutes I had the same results! I have also used it on my hair (especially after swimming which I find effects my hair) and I did find a noticeable change in being able to comb it through as it was easier and there were less knots which is the sole purpose of this.
This does do its job that it promises as my hair was notably more tangle free and easier to comb through when wet and so was my daughter's but as a stand alone conditioner this really doesn't do the greatest job but for my daughter's hair which is washed quite a lot then this does the job just fine. What I don't like about it, is the consistency - it is just as thin as water so when sprayed onto the hair it disappears very quickly so although the colour is a milky white once it touches wet hair you can't really see where it has been sprayed. The conditioner does have a slight fragrance which is gentle and soft but disappears as quickly as it is sprayed on.
Overall, this does the job and certainly manages to get both mine and my daughter's hair tangle free. Ideal for babies and children but for adults this shouldn't be used instead of a standard conditioner but for the price it is certainly worth a try! 4 stars from me.
