Advantages: Made with skin friendly products

Disadvantages: .......

We found out very early on that our twins have sensitive skin, one more so that the other so we actively searched for products which wouldn't cause too many problems.

Our health visitor gave us the sage advice that 'if it bubbles, it's trouble' so we avoid bubble baths in particular.

Having tried Boots own oil and finding various drying agents as part of the ingredients I spent hours wandering and happened across the Little Me range which on closer inspection sounded good.

The product range was created by Jo Sinclair who owns Florama and she created the products after the birth of her first child. Based on the need for gentle and non synthetic products in which to bathe her daughter.

And so the product evolved, then including the skills of a qualified aromatherapist who could take into account the needs of mother and child.

So, the baby oil appealed to me with blends of neroli, rose and organic mandarin. It's a lovely scent which is relaxing, calming and somewhat feminine.
My own training tells me that mandarin is good for skin tone and helps with dry skin conditions and cleansing, rose is balancing and cleansing, neroli is moisturising and stimulating. All great ingredients.

The oil is fairly thin and clear with a vague yellow tinge. When dripped or poured out the consistency is thicker than water but thinner than, say olive oil.

So, it could be used in the bath though oil tends to collect on top of the water and then leaves the bath slippery so I don't recommend it.

I apply it liberally over my daughters skin after a quick pat dry with a towel, therefore enclosing moisture in the skin with the oil.

It applies easily and sinks in fairly quickly. In our case it does help keep the worst of the scaley patches and dry patches at bay.
It would make a lovely massage oil but our girls are too impatient for massage now.

A lovely scent and a pleasant product which is kinder than the stereotypical products on the market which are choc full of nasties.

Expect to pay around £4.99 per 200ml bottle and if you buy at Boots, the only stockist I can find, you can often get them on offer, buy one get one free.

You can also find bath bubbles and massage balm in the same scent range and then the other ranges, Sleepy Head, Playtime Fun and Helping Hand, though I haven't encountered Helping Hand yet.

You can find the whole range at: http://www.littlemebabyorganics.co.uk/productrange .htm

Summary: Wonderful aromatherapy treatments in everyday bathing
