Advantages: Slimline all in one nappy

Disadvantages: None yet- but may discover more after further use

As my son is now 4 months old I have finally decided to start using reusable nappies properly, both because we want to help the environment and because we wanted to find an alternative to disposable nappies that would be kind to our babies skin. I first saw popins on sale in waitrose and I purchased a trial popin nappy. The single pack consists of a nappy with a removable booster and a paper liner and nappy bag for transporting a dirty nappy. I have since been back and purchased five more nappies as they are currently on buy four get one free at Waitrose. (15.00)

The nappy consists of an outer shell, into which you put a soaker and a booster, which can be folded in different ways depending on whether you have a boy or girl or if you are using the nappy for a newborn. The soaker is made out of bamboo which is recommended for its The outer shell is also a soft fabric.

The nappy can be pulled apart to speed up the drying process. Which is still quite long but you can leave the nappy together for the wash process.

As my baby is currently breastfed poos can be explosive and this nappy does cope with up the back poos well- we frequently got leaky nappies from pampers or huggies. The nappy is getting more absorbant the more we wash it and copes well with wee.

I was also attracted to this nappy as for a resusable nappy it is quite slimline and not too bulky under clothes- a lot of reusable nappies are very bulky. Overall these have been a good buy and I would recommend I am looking forward to getting full use out of this nappy as it should fit up to when we potty train our son and hopefully we will use thenm for any future children.

Summary: Reusable nappy - all in one system but designed for slim fit and easy drying.

What an unusual idea although it sounds like it's working well for your little boy.
