Advantages: Save around £2 a pack.

Disadvantages: Looks rather girlie.

Okay i have seen reviews on Morrisons Nappies for under 1 year olds, and seeing as i have just bought the nappy pants (size 5) i thought i would share my experience of using them with you all.

* Coming across the product

I was in Morrisons doing a bit of shopping (obviously) and was looking for some nappies for our Aimee. After a bit of searching i realised that the usual brand of Pampers pull ups where nowhere to be seen.

Due to the fact that my little angle can take of the more traditional velcro nappy off, i opted to look for the Morrisons home brand of pull ups.

* Packaging

Even with the outer packaging being an orange/peach these nappies blended in with the other nappies really well and took me a while to find, also the fact that they were at the other end of the racking and not with the other morrisons nappies may have had something to do with it.

On the front you have a red square at a slanted angle with Morrisons tots and a love heart. Under this you have Nappy pants in large with letters and in smaller text you have " specially designed for kids on the go" and in a big blue rectangle it states that the nappies are Size 5, 12 - 25 Kg / 27 - 55 Lbs and as absorbent as a nappy with the convenience of a pant.

On the back of the pack is a weight chart to make sure you get the right size, and a diagram of the nappy explaining the nappy itself, tear away sides, stretchy super fit, easy on and off.. ect. ect.

* The Nappy Itself

All i have to say is that i am glad i have a little girl, as these nappies look very frilly around the waist line, where they have pulled the elastic together and rather fluffy with a ruffled edge around the leg lines.

All around the nappy 2/3rds of away down you have pictures of animals. They don't look as good as Pampers but who really cares as there only going to get pooped in (hmnn ... okay maybe me). Aside from looks are they as good as Pampers....

To be honest with you i would say that i have noticed no difference.

As of late i have noticed that the pampers i was using leaked crysals over my babys bottom, and i don't seem to get this when using the Morrisons ones.

The fit does not seem to be as snug as Pampers as they Morrisons nappy does seem a little wider ( i will opt for a size down next time) but i have not noticed any major leakage with these nappies as i normally change Aimee as soon as she has pooped and on a regular basis.

I will add that when we was in the car her nappy did leak a little. I'm not sure if this was due to her seating position or the nappy itself . But i have not had any problems indoors.

Another think about the nappies is when on long journies in the car and you can't change babies bum. If they have been drinking lots of juice due to the warm weather, watch out for the sagging, due to the nappies elastic around the leg .... you will probably find the crotch around the knees somewhere.

After use you can just split the sides and you have a stip of plaster looking material at the back of the nappy which you can tape the nappy up with after folding it into a ball.

* Night Time

I have used these of a night time, and have found no problems with them if you change babies bum before going to bed and as soon as they get up in the morning.

* My overall thoughts

Okay they are not the most attractive nappy in the world but seeing as i only paid £3.98 for a packet of 20 nappies where i was paying nearly £6 for 22 of Pampers. It can't be too bad .

What i am also planing to do from now on is use the Morrisons brand indoors and use Pampers when going out ( just incase).

My biggest problem with the nappy is the look, as they do look quite girlie to me, which may bring on embarassment in future years to come for any little boys, when mummy is getting the family snaps out.

Overall 4 out of 5 stars. -1 for looks and -1 for elastic quality and finally +1 on again due to the fact they don't leak crystals.

Don't get me wrong they do the job. But i would still prefer to use Pampers if going out for the day or a wedding (if you get what i mean).

Thanks for reading all .... and be lucky.

*** Sorry if there are any spelling mistakes i will go over again when on my usual PC with the spell checker ***

Summary: A cheaper nappy for indoors.
