Advantages: around half the price of big brands

Disadvantages: they are a poor fitting and shape

as you can imagine (or feel maybe)n this recent "credit crunch" is really starting to bite. So in responce I decided to try a few home brand product's from my local supermarcket. One of the things I decided to try was Morrison's own brand nappies. I must admit it was on a whim so I didn't get chance to look at any reviews so was a little nervous as to whether I was in for any leaks.
My son will be two years old in December and is a real wriggle bum when getting changed. I find the easy option with nappies is pull ups as they are much quicker to put on and take off of a moving child, also as I will be potty training in the new year as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find a pack of Morrison's own brand pull up nappies at just £3.69, that is almost half the price of big brands like pampers and huggies. In this pack you get 22 that makes them 16.7 pence each. Pampers are £5.99 for 18 that's 33.2 pence each.

So with the cheap price I was sure I would have to sacrifice quality but decided it was worth a try at least. In a way I was right, the quality is lacking, however this is not in protection from leaks as I thought it would be but in shape and comfort. For the most part I have had few problems; the only time has been over night which is not surprising as the big brands also leak after ten hours. The compromise was as I say in the design and fit; they are very big and bulky and in no way shaped to fit snug. They are a little restricting for my little one, and the material around the waist is not as soft as other brands.

Having said the bad points I would still buy them again so have come to the conclusion they are fairly good for the money and are worth buying if it makes a big difference to you in these difficult financial times like it does for us.

Summary: price compramises quality but useable if needed
