Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: Poor quality

I've been on a real mission recently to find cheaper alternatives to the premium brands of nappies I bought for my first daughter. When she was born, I was completely pulled in by their powerful marketing campaigns and believed Pampers was the best choice for my little bubba's bottom. 31/2 years down the line, and now on my second round of nappy buying with scrummy bubba no. 2, I have changed thousands of nappies and I dread to think how much money I have spent.

Since my awakening to the fact that some of the lower priced nappies did the job just as well as Pampers, I have been more than happy to try any brand of nappy to try and find the one that provides the best quality at the best price. So far on my journey of discovery I have been pleasantly suprised by Tesco's and completely blown away by Lidl and their Cein nappies, however I have yet to encounter any real disappointments.....until now.

I don't normally shop in Morrisons, but during a stay with my mum, I was running a little low on nappies and we popped into her usual supermarket. I was more than happy to give the Morrisons nappies a go and was curious how they would compare with some of the other brands I had tried. They were reasonably priced costing around £3.80 for a pack in the size I required for my little angel. I was confident in my ourchase and I had no worries or quibbles that the nappies would not be up to scratch.

Next day, i was ready ti open up the new Morrison's nappies. As soon as I pulled the first nappy out, I immediatley thought the quality was not as good as I had been used to. The nappy felt really rough and had quite a harsh feel to it. The nappies I had used previously had always felt really soft to the touch and I had always been happy to place them against my babies sensitive skin, however I had the feeling that these would be quite scratchy and was concerned that the would irritate her skin.

When I tried to put the nappy on my little one, I also had trouble getting it on properly, my little one is quite slim but this nappy seemed to be too tight in places and then gape in others. The sretchy bit around her leg also felt quite rough, I wasn't convinced that this nappy would do the job or be comformtable for her.

Fast forward a couple of hours, and after a big drink of juice....we had minor leakage. It was only minor, but when I went to change her nappy, the babk of her dress was also a little damp. This continued to happen as I made way through the packet until I managed to get to Lidl and stock up on my favourite Cein nappies. The Morrison nappies have since become my 'emergency only' nappies.

So to sum it up, these nappies just seemed to be poor qualities and failed to do the job in containing everything, I would certainly avoid buying again.

Summary: Would steer well clear
