Advantages: terry toweling softer and warmer than plastic seats

Disadvantages: too short, easy to wiggle down

Having never used a bath seat for our first child, we looked into it when we were expecting our second as we felt it would be useful to have the newborn supported so we had a few more hands free to deal with our toddler when we bathed them together. A friend gave us a big bulky plastic thing which was sold rather quickly in an NCT sale, and the funds use to purchase this one.
I thought the fabric would be a bit more comfortable and warm, and it didn't take up too much space. This was true for the first few weeks of our son's life, but as soon as he started growing longer we ran into problems. The part that turns up at the bottom isn't tall enough to keep him from wiggling down, and his body really is too long for the seat now. Also it's not very high so you can't put much water in the bath. This may be fine with one child but when you have another in there you want a bit of water!
At just 12 weeks we've gone back to the just supporting him with our hands method until he's old enough to sit himself and we can get an Aquapod.

Summary: good for a few weeks but not much longer
