I ate something the other day which disagreed with my little girl (she is breastfed). It came as no great surprise, therefore, when afterwards she got a bit of nappyrash. Poor wee mite, her little bottom was red and it made her irritable. Over to our Newborn Essentials box we had purchased at Mothercare. Inside the box was a tub of Mothercare's own brand of nappy cream.

I pulled it out, and went to put some on my fingers to wipe onto her bottom. The cream has a silky, watery feel to it, and is easy to spread thinly. The midwife had cautioned me about slathering on thick amounts of nappy cream as it is apparently a bad thing to do, but there is little to worry about on that front with this cream. It apparently is soothing as soon as it hits the skin, as she settled down as soon as I smoothed it on. It also had a pleasnt fragrance, which I was at first concerned about. A quick check on the label assured me that the cream is hypoallergenic.

A few hours later when I checked her nappy, I noticed that the redness was gone. Now that was a most welcome sight. I must say that this product lives up to the Mothercare reputation for excellence.
