Advantages: Really does work, makes bathtime much happier!

Disadvantages: Could be a little cheaper

My 18 month old son loves bathtime but absolutely hates having his hair washed. I searched the Internet for a product that would keep the water and shampoo off his face, and allow me to properly wash his hair.

I decided against buying a peaked hair rinse cap - as he doesn't like things on his head and guessed he would probably just pull it off. The other option I found was a shampoo rinse jug (by TrendyKid) which I ended up purchasing from John Lewis for £6.75. It is made from sturdy blue plastic and has a flexible yellow rubber panel on the front (the clever bit!). The fill capacity is 1.42 litres. The middle of the jug is divided into two sections and it has a handle on the back.

The product is fairly self explanatory when you see it. Simply fill the jug, press the rubber panel against the child's forehead and pour. You do need to tilt the child's head back a little to get a proper rinse, but after a few tries it's easy to get the knack.

I've been really pleased with this product, it is reasonably priced and has certainly made bathtime a much happier experience for my little one. Highly recommended. A simple, yet clever design that really works.

Summary: Cleverly designed jug which helps keep water and shampoo out of children's faces at bathtime
