... let the air at your babys bum whenever possible, eg, if he/she is not yet walking, take the nappy off and leave them lying on a towel for a while. If they are walking about just take the nappy off and let them walk about for a while gettin air at themselves. Nappy cream is always a must when your baby has nappy rash. The best cream i would recommend to everyone is sudocrem. I have used this since my baby was a month old. Before this i was using Bapanthen which i wasn't very fond of. Premium Review Nappy Cream in General: cheap but neat (1078 words)

Before starting to write about this miracle cream, we need to clarify few points such as: What is nappy rash? How do you treat it? *To answer to the first point it is simply and purely a condition usually irritated skin, red spots caused by urine and pooh (might sound funny to ay pooh but I couldn?t find another better word) found in the area covered by the nappy with effect of breaking down the protective barrier normally formed by the skin, causing redness and rawness and allowing germs of various types to attack. *Now when it comes to treat it, that is where the cream mainly made of zinc and castor oil takes effect. But you ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Don't see red over nappy rash (363 words)

When my daughter was just a few months old, she developed a really nasty nappy rash. I tried numerous creams and lotions and although most of them did help, the nappy rash would reappear every week or two. We were living in South Africa at the time and I began to feel rather disillusioned, I out of desperation went to see a wonderful lady by the name of Margret Roberts. Margeret is a remarkable woman because she has studied the African traditional cures and has written many books on which indiginous plants can help for many niggling ailments and which 'weeds' can be planted around your vegetable garden to prevent snails and other slugs from eating your ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nappy Cream in General: Morrisons Baby Zinc and Castor Cream (114 words)

Described on the tub as "Specially formulated to soften skin, and can also be used as a barrier cream". It is dermatologically tested and is a "mild and gentle formula". It costs only £1.50 for a 250g tub of this nappy cream. It is the best (and cheapest)cream I have ever used, and my baby has never suffered from nappy rash. It is well worth the money and and a tub this size seems to last forever. So forget about paying out £3.50 a tub, save your money and try out some of the supermarkets own brand, they're usually better than the more common ones. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The A-Z of Nappy rash: Barrier and other creams (377 words)

What are they? ----------------------------- Nappy rashes seemingly appear out of nowhere.one minute you are wrapping a beautifully dimpled, kissable botty in a nappy and in a few hours you unwrap a red, angry, blotchy botty that causes a great deal of distress to mum and baby(and dad, now let's not get sexist). Where so they come from? ------------------------------ Nappy rashes are caused by certain skin bacteria that thrive on skin, if a soggy nappy is left too long untended the urine releases ammonia and irritates the skin causing redness and even chapped skin with blisters. Occassionally you may also get fungal infection ( by a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nappy Cream in General: Tescos Medicated Nappy Cream (143 words)

I waver between using this cream and Zinc and Castor oil on the baby depending on how her skin is. I tried Tescos Medicated Nappy Cream one day as I didn't have enough money for Sudocrem! I was very pleasantly surprised with the result. It certainly didn't work as speedily as Sudocrem, but it wasn't far behind. I continued using it for a while and her nappy rash went away. It's very rich and covers well, sorting out all kinds of bottie blemishes quickly. I've even used it on her infantile exzema with good results. It's cheaper than Sudocrem by half, by about a pound more than Zinc and Castor Oil. I'd recommend it for ...  Read the complete review
