Advantages: Works miracles on sore bottoms
Disadvantages: Only available from pharmacists.
On baby no.3 and how I wish I knew then what I know now. Metanium is a miracle worker. Only available over the pharmacy counter, so you do have to ask for it. I came across this after my 1st born developed an allergic reaction to pampers, when they changed to the baby dry system. Basically, everywhere iside the elastic leg seal, turned to tiny blisters. He had such a bad reaction, he was in hospital for it. They patch tested him to find out exactly what was causing it, and it turned out to be the nappies that I was using. Major guilt trip or what! The hospital were trying him out with various creams, and the one which worked miracles was Metanium. I use it all the time now, and none of my other children have suffered with sore bottoms. My youngest is coming up to 9 months old and thankfully, nappy rash hasn't been a problem. But I know if it should, Metanium will sort it out and fast! It is a fairly thick yellow cream. Spread on so you can see the skin colour through the cream. Not a pleasant odour but who spends time smelling babies bums anyway? I trust this product 110% and won't ever have to try him out with anything else.
