Advantages: inexpensive, effective, natural

Disadvantages: no sprinkling container

When my daughter was just a few months old, she developed a really nasty nappy rash. I tried numerous creams and lotions and although most of them did help, the nappy rash would reappear every week or two.

We were living in South Africa at the time and I began to feel rather disillusioned, I out of desperation went to see a wonderful lady by the name of Margret Roberts. Margeret is a remarkable woman because she has studied the African traditional cures and has written many books on which indiginous plants can help for many niggling ailments and which 'weeds' can be planted around your vegetable garden to prevent snails and other slugs from eating your veggies before you do.

I went to see her on her farm, which is open to the public on Wednesdays, and she recomended that I add a tea bag of 'Rooibos tea' (directly translated means red bush tea) into my daughter's bath and sprinkle cornflour in her nappy at each nappy change. Well I must tell you that my daughter never had another nappy rash again. Problem solved :)

I know that most health shops in the United Kingdom sell 'Rooibos tea', and I think that I should mention that 'Rooibos tea' has been proven to be a wonderful aid in all allergic reactions. A lot of South African mum's give their babies 'Rooibos tea' to drink instead of orange squash. When baby gets to the age of taking a bottle off to bed, you may be amazed how much sooner they fall asleep with this tea's wonderful calming effects.

Cornfour, in my opinion, is much better than baby powder. I don't know how true this is, but I have heard that baby powder contains asbestos...or perhaps it used to. In any case, Cornfour costs under £1.00 for 500gms at Waitrose and does not have any adverse effects on you or your little one.

I hope that this can help some one who may be battling with a nasty nappy rash.

Thanks for taking the time to read my op
inion :)
