Cut short on holiday when using cloth nappies i had to relent and go out and buy disposables. Determined not to line the pockets of Huggies and Pampers i entered Boots on a mission. I was looking for Moltex nappies (they are a bit more eco friendly) but there were none. Instead in a little nook at the bottom of the nappy shelf I found Nature Babycare. At £5.98 each for a pack of 30 Size 5 and 32 Size 4+ i grabbed one of each. Yes they are about £1 more expensive but i believe that we should be taking better care of the environment and i also believe that if these nappies are much more natural and not as chemical laden as Pampers then all the better for my ... I will be honest, and say I never considered using environmentally friendly nappies when my son was born, I didn't know much about them and I wanted to make my life as easy as possible. But I received a voucher for a packet of Nature Babycare nappies about 2 months ago, and I decided that I would give them a go and see what I thought. *The Company* Nature Babycare nappies are produced by a Swedish company, and were the brain child of a mum who wanted to do more for the environment after finding out how bad disposable nappies are for the planet. Marlene Sandberg invented a nappy which keeps your child dry and happy, and which contains a Swedish invention ... Read the complete review

In the early weeks after my son was born I was always intending to use disposables while I got my head around looking after a baby. I chose to use these nature babycare nappies because they are biodegradable and I felt that I would be doing my bit by using kinder disposable nappies. Well.. that was the theory. Straight after opening the packet I didn't like them. They feel rough to the touch probably because they don't have the chemicals and processes that normal disposables do. Even the edging felt starchy and stiff. The colour is nice though a kind of creamy white because of how they are made I preferred that to other disposables. The fastenings ... We use disposables when away from home as it's often too hard to find anywhere to wash and dry our reusables. I decided that I was going to try these as they are allegedly better for the environment. I bought them on 2 packs of 30 for £10 in Boots, though they normally sell for £5.98 a pack. This doesn't seem that much more expensive than normal disposables to me. They aren't widely available in supermarkets though, I've only seen them in the Co-op as well as Boots. The nappies have a simple design, using the reusable velcro type sealing that means you can have a peak and see if there's a poo without wasting a nappy. They have a predominantly white design ... Keen to do our little bit for the environment, we decided to give these 'eco-friendly' nappies a go when our daughter was born. I expected them to be a lot more expensive than the usual nappy brands, and was surprised to find that there is actually little difference in price. However, brands such as Pampers and Huggies tend to have regular offers on, so overall you would end up spending a bit more on these nappies. We had a selection of various brands of nappies when our daughter was newborn, which meant I could directly compare them. I found we had the odd leak with every brand, and no more with the Nature nappies. We had no problems ... Read the complete review
