      Perfect bath toy

Bought this on sale in Boots for about £4 just as an impulse buy but it's proved to be one of our best bath toys. It's hard plastic, not squeezable, so it doesn't take in water and then go mouldy like a lot of other bath toys. It has 3 rings that detach from its tentacles, a circle, a fish and a star, which toddlers like trying to hook back on. The octopus itself floats, and because it's quite wide at the base it doesn't topple upside down very easily. The colours are nice and bright and it's very much a unisex toy.

It stays clean because water easily drains off the octopus and the rings, so there's no little parts for water to get trapped in. It's flat on the bottom, so can just sit on the side of the bath.
It's a decent size too, I'd say about 5 inches tall and maybe 6 or 7 inches wide, so doesn't take up too much space but big enough to be enjoyed during bath time. I thought my daughter would get bored of this after a while, as it doesn't actually do anything as such, but she played with it every day for about 6 months. We then put it away for a while when we got some new bath toys, and now rotate them, and she still enjoys this one every time it comes out. My youngest also likes it, and they take turns hooking the rings on the tentacles. It looks easy, but for babies, it's harder as the tentacles are rounded, so they have to concentrate to get them on.

A good buy for the price.
