Advantages: gets toddlers clean, avoids tantrums, no extra money to pay

Disadvantages: can get a bit of water on the floor!

After I had my baby (a long two and a half years ago) and she got too big for the baby bath, I decided to hang on to it 'just in case', and am so glad that I did! Like most toddlers, she has days when she decides that she is going to assert herself, and one of her favourite ways of doing this was to decide that she didn't want to have a bath...in comes the old baby bath! (Hang on in there, I'm getting there!)Whilst she doesn't always like having a bath, she does like 'boating'...and 'boating' is even more fun on water (getting there now, aren't I!)So what we do is put the baby bath in the ordinary bath, and let her go boating (unfortunately, the boat always sinks, but by this time she is in the bath and quite happy about it!) Apparently my parents used to use the same trick on me, and it worked then too, so if your toddler decides to be awkward, dig out the old baby bath and try it for yourself!
