Advantages: You can find ways of bathing them.

Disadvantages: You will miss a long soak yourself, but you never et a chance even if you do have a bath.

If like us you don't have a bath you maybe wondering how to bath your baby.

My first baby was 11lb 6oz and born by C Section so there was no question of my standing in the shower holding him. I had no way of moving around baby baths full of water.

I bought one of the metal bath stands for £12.99 from Index and set it up over the toilet next to the shower. Use the shower head to fill the bath and position the plug hole over the loo so you just pull the plug and it drains out. Our shower room is tiny so this was the only way it would fit but it worked really well.

Once he was to big for the bath (didn't take long). I racked my brains as to how I could bath him. He was just to heavy to hold in the shower. I spotted a big storage tub in Woolworths for about £3.99. It was just the right size to fit into the shower base and was nice and deep. I would fill it again with the shower and plonk him in. It was snug enough that he couldn't slip about and I could get in the shower for a wash too. Kills two birds with the one sponge. Once finished go back and just gently tip up to empty. I have since seen expensive glorified buckets called tummy tubs but this is much biggar so will last longer.
