Advantages: Feel softer than some cheap brands
Disadvantages: Expensive, easily broken, not very absorbant, don't do the job they are meant for
I've used a few different brands of nappies since I had my son (now 2 1/2) and the ones I was most disappointed in for value have to be Pampers Baby-dry, for these reasons:
*They do not fit well (though this might just be the shape of my son!) and can leak easily.
*They have sticky tabs than can stick to the child's skin, unlike Huggies and Superdrug own brand which only stick to the nappy.
*The tabs can come off with not much pulling - annoying with a wriggle toddler (and means I've ended up wrapping them with duct tape - embarrasing if you forget before they go to playschool!).
However, the bit I really disliked about this brand is that quite a few times (at least 4 times in the couple of months I used them), if they got slightly more than a little wet, they can burst and all the crystals from inside that I assume soak up the liquid, come out and stick to EVERYTHING which takes forever to clean up and is quite horrible. It's bad enough when it happens in the daytime, but it also happened at night and I don't like to think how long my little boy had the stuff all over his skin. They definitely need to be stronger to stop this happening.
Summary: OK for short periods, no good for normal use (and they should be for the price)
