Absorbent but pricy (Pampers Baby Dry Maxi)
Member Name: ariom
Advantages: absorbency, no leaks, wide size range, readily available Disadvantages: green lining, price We only use disposable nappies on holiday, and on our latest trip got these since they were the most easily available. I found them easy to fit and haven't experienced any leaks with them. Bryn seems comfortable in them and I haven't experienced any nappy rash. They seem amply absorbent for use overnight on babies that sleep through. The combination sticky/velcro fastener helps fold up dirty nappies, while also enabling you to take "is it a poo or fart?" peeks without having to dispose of the nappy unnecessarily. When at the lower end of the size scale there appears to be a bit of a sag of excess nappy between the legs, but this doesn't seem to inhibit his movement. We appreciated the wide size range actually because leftovers from this trip will probably still fit on the next one. My only criticism is the colouring of the liner - the green colour can make it hard to tell what colour your baby's poo is, and when we are supposed to watch out for green poo as a sign things aren't well, this would stop me using them regularly as a nappy if we didn't use reusables at home. I also didn't find much difference between this nappy and supermarket own brands that are available cheaper. Summary: effective and good fitting nappies but pricy |
