Advantages: small convenient easy to cary package
Disadvantages: ?
When we were going out on a school trip one of the parents sent in a pack of travel wipes with her child.
Pampers do wipes in packs of various sizes and a few different varieties, kandoo wipes baby wipes, sensitive wipes,
The pack we were sent in was a travel pack containing 24 wipes, I think you can get a smaller travel pack containing 12 wipes too.
The travel pack containing 24 wipes are available from Tesco or mothercare for £1.36p, .I is sure you could buy them at other supermarkets or stores like superdrug or boots for similar prices. This works out at 0.06p per wipe.
Although these wipes come in a convenient size inside a convenient waterproof reseal able wrapper, a large refillable tub containing 63 wipes can be bought from Tesco for £2.49p working out at 0.04p per wipe. It would be cheaper to put a few wipes from this pack in a plastic bag or a small plastic pot. I do seem to remember seeing a small hard reusable plastic pampers case for a travel pack, but can not remember clearly and can find no info anywhere.
However the Pampers wipes in a travel pack are very convenient pack into the travel change bag well. You could keep a pack in the car for emergencies this pack is neat and small. The wipes are enclosed as I said in a waterproof plastic like pack not a tub/case. The packaging is the pampers green so easy to identify as a pamper product. I have used these often and when I go out I like to put the pack in an extra carrier or plastic food wrap bag as sometimes the reusable seal does not get put down properly and you get a damp leakage from the wet wipes.
These wipes are designed for wiping babies’ bums after a nappy change but they can be used for wiping sticky fingers too.
These wipes are easy to use. I find them quite strong enough to do the job for which they are intended. Some of the cheaper own brands are no where near as good.
They are big enough for my wiping the students that I work with, sometimes I may use more than 1 wipe but unless it is a particularly big poo...
I dispose of these by putting them in the bin with the disposable nappy, I believe you can flush them.
These wipes are very soft, thick and quite strong. They are soaked in pure water and baby essential oils.
Pampers wipes are hypoallergenic
You can get pampers baby wipes in hypersensitive, or unscented they also make lavender scented, or spring blossom scented, or the natural Aloe I usually use. I have not seen the travel pack in anything but the Natural Aloe type
These wipes seem quite gentle although my daughter prefers to use a reusable /washable towelling type wipe on her children as she thinks it is better for her son’s excma skin and cheaper too.
I have listed the ingredients so you can see if you think they are ok for your baby’s skin
Pampers Baby Wipes with Aloe Travel Pack contains Water, Potassium Laureth Phosphate, Aloe Barbadensis, Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylparaben, Malic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E is in the form of Tocopheryl Aceta.

- 19/11/06 Hi Mary :o)
It's been sooooo long since I last visited dooyoo and the first review of yours I read happens to be about baby wipes....something which I now know a lot about!!
My little man is keeping me very busy. He's nearly 10 months old already! He's like lightening when he's crawling and just beginning to find his feet. Keeping me on my toes, that's for sure.
I hope the recent arrival in your family is as much a bundle of joy as mine. He never stops smiling, and neither do I :o)
Best wishes xXx
Oh, great review by the way! |
