Advantages: absorbs liquid well, easy to tidy

Disadvantages: slips around a bit, bulky in changing bag

I bought these thinking they'd be great for my changing bag, as I don't like to take a big mat if I don't have to. I found that compared to the disposable Huggies mats these are bigger and don't fold down as easily.
I have, however, found several other uses for this mat. It was a good layer to have under my bedding in the late stages of pregnancy in case of my waters breaking, and also handy to sit on in the car on the way to the hospital for the same reason.
I have used it when my daughter has been ill- it's large enough to put on the floor and hold her over in case she is sick- saves my carpet and easy to tidy away. I have one under her sheet as an extra protection for the mattress. Also in the buggy if I think she may be sick there, or in case of nappy leaks.

Summary: useful, but not as good as the Huggies ones
