Advantages: Toddler can pull them up and down as they would pants, making potty training easier

Disadvantages: Can leak as not as absorbant, can be expensive

We started using Pampers easy up pants when we started potty training our son.

We found that with normal nappies which have the velcro tabs on the sides to do up - by the time he would tell us he wanted the potty and we undressed him and fiddled about getting the nappy off, he would have already been.

With easy up pants, like the name suggests they are basically like a pair of pants. They are a lot easier to put on than ordinary nappies as you can have your toddler stand up for you to put them on, whereas with ordinary nappies you have to lie them down and lift their legs up to put the nappy on. When your baby grows into a toddler lifting their legs up to do this isn't as easy as it used to be as they are a lot heavier!

When your toddler tells you they want the potty all you have to do is pull the nappy down and they come off very easily.

As your toddler gets older they can pull them up and down by themselves which mean they can use the potty on their own, which is a big leap into the world of grown ups!

The disadvantages of easy up pants are that they are not as absorbant as other nappies, are more expensive and also come in smaller packs.

With all this in mind, I would still recommend them as my little boy is coming on in leaps and bounds in his potty training by using them.

Summary: A great nappy to use if potty training your child.

there was nothing that my son made easy about potty training. i thought these were a good idea and i tried them, but all my son did was treat them as an elasticated nappy! should have taken my son back for a refund! we got there in the end and that was after using no nappies at all. he soon got fed up with peeing all over the floor..... sam xx

i've just read jenny's comment down below, and my god she is sooo right!!! very good review though!!

The biggest disadvantage of pull ups is that children who are almost there sometimes get lazy and decide to use them as nappies. Also they can be more difficult if they are dirtied - you really need to tear the sides to get them off without it going all over the child's legs. Jenny.
