Advantages: Easier than trying to change a toddler on their back, helps with potty training, absorbent

Disadvantages: More expensive than regular nappies, have to take trousers and shoes off to change pants

Pampers Easy Up pants are nappies which you pull up like pants or knickers.

You put the pants on when your child is standing up by putting their feet into the legholes and pulling them up into place. The pants have a tearable side structure which is thin and stretchy - you can remove the pants by ripping the sides or sliding them back down the legs. They are so much easier and convienient to put on than regular nappies - the Easy Up Pants are designed for toddlers and everybody knows how much toddlers hate laying down and having their nappy changed. These little creations are perfect for toddlers who squirm and scream at the very sight of a nappy change.

The pants have a stretchy waistband and are stretchy round the leg holes so they fit my childs body perfectly - not too big, not too small and therefore comfortable and avoids leaks.

The Easy Up Pants have a "unique extra dry layer" inside which absorbs just like a regular Pampers nappy. You can see the extra dry layer if you look inside the nappy, it's a green colour. I find that the pants are very absorbent and am very pleased with their performance.

I personally change my daughters pants around once every 3 hours but it depends on how much she has been drinking, etc. When the pants need to be changed they get quite swollen and heavy, but don't leak unless left on for an excess amount of time - this hasn't happened much except once on a long car journey and once in bed.

The thing I find great about Pampers Easy Up Pants are that they get toddlers used to the idea of wearing pants and allows them to pull the pants up and down by themselves, thus making it tons easier for potty training. I couldn't imagine potty training with regular nappies, whereas easy up pants couldn't be any easier - go to potty, pull down pants, do the duty and pull them back up again, all by themselves.

Pampers Easy Up Pants are available at all good supermarkets (Sainsburys etc) and childrens shops (Mothercare etc). I usually buy mine from Tesco - they can be found mixed in with the regular nappies.

They come in small packs of 18-22 (depending on the size - sadly the bigger the size the less nappies you get in a pack) which cost around £5.98 and bigger packs of 34-42 which cost around £8.98. I sometimes also buy jumbo boxes of 52 for £11.98. As you can see they are more expensive than regular nappies which isn't ideal as I get through quite a few per week but they do often come with deals such as 2 for £10 for the small packs and 2 for £16 for the bigger packs.

They come in 3 different sizes - size 4 (18 - 33 lbs), size 5 (26 - 40 lbs) and size 6 (35+ lbs). Because you can't adjust the size of the pants like regular nappies, you must ensure that you buy the correct size.

The one thing that I particularly dislike about Pampers Easy Up Pants is that when you are out and about and you need to change your child, you have to totally strip their bottom half off whereas with a regular nappy you wouldn't have to. You can rip the side off and remove the pants but then you have to remove the trousers and shoes to get the clean pants on. It's not a huge deal but is something I could do without.

The pants are unisex and each size has the same designs on. I believe the pictures change every now and again but the current design is Bob The Builder. They look very cute and Bob The Builder fans will be very pleased indeed.

Pampers Easy Up Pants can be worn all day long, even in bed and I highly recommend them to all parents with toddlers who can't stand nappy changes and love their new found independence.

Summary: Recommended for toddlers.
