Advantages: fit well, very absorbent, the design really appeals to toddlers

Disadvantages: leak around the legs occasionally, but no more so than other nappies

My little bundle of joy is just over 2 years old now, and although I think she's almost ready for potty training she's not quite there yet. Unfortunately, she has got to the stage where she really hates being made to lie down and have her nappy changed, so we decided it was time to give pull-up nappies a try instead of the traditional style with tabs.

We do still use ordinary nappies at night (partly because they seem just a tiny bit more reliable, and partly because we bought in bulk and have loads left!), but we now always use Pampers Easy-up pants during the day.

These nappies/pants (whatever you want to call them!) fit well and, although we've had a couple of leaks since starting to use them, I'd say the absorbency and reliability is pretty much comparable with other nappies we've used - you just have to make sure to change them when they need changing! They are well designed to appeal to toddlers, with pictures of Bob the Builder characters on.

It's certainly a lot easier to get a struggling toddler into these, and one of the main reasons we're continuing to buy them is that our daughter absolutely loves them. She's really proud of her 'nappy-pants'/'Bob pants'/'builder pants' as she calls them, and gets all excited when it's time to put them on.

I feel they will make the early stages of potty training easier too, as they are very easy to pull down and up (this MAY be a disadvantage if your child is prone to taking their own nappy and/or trousers off, however!).

I'd defintely recommend trying these if your child is starting to resist ordinary nappies but isn't ready to go into ordinary underwear yet.

Summary: perfect nappies for that 'in between' stage
