I am not particularly a brand name girl when it comes to clothing or foot wear but when it comes to things like toiletrys i prefer a brand name as you can be assured of a good quality product, the same principle was applied when choosing which nappies to use with my daughter when she was first born 6 years ago, i chose to use huggies and pampers as they were the best known brands of disposable nappys.

After buying some more packs of these wholst shopping yesterday in preperation for the new arrival i thought it was about time i told you what i thought of them seen as this will be the third child i have used them on.

These new born nappys are especially designed to not only absorb your babys wee and lock it away from the skin to stop any irritation from occuring on there skin but to also absorb soft poo aswell.

They have realy stretchy side pieces that have tiny bits of elastic running through them so that you can get a good fit around babys waise band so that they dont drop down when you lift baby up, the tabs that secure the nappy at the front are like a velcro fastner which means for a smaller baby you can actually over lap these and they will still grip, they have a cut out at the front under the belly button to allow for the belly button clamp that baby will have attached for the first few days to a week which is great as i dont recall huggies having this and they were a night mare to fit around the clamp.
The sides of the legs are elasticated aswell to prevent leaks by giving a good fit and have a second flap layer inside to prevent leaks..

With all the elastic in the legs the anti leakage system works realy well and they kept both my daughters skin free from nappy rash which was great but i did find one disadvantage and that was the backs of the nappys, they could have done with being a little higher to stop leaks of runny baby poo.

pampers worked well for us and are a brand i trust.
