Advantages: Good deals available, nice fit no leaks

Disadvantages: Made nappy rash worse for us, not eco friendly, urine smell

I'm afraid I'm going against the crowd on this one! We have used a variety of nappies since my son was born 14 months ago (Nature, Huggies and Tesco own brand mostly), and a few weeks ago I had to buy Pampers ActiveFit as it was the only choice when I went to visit my parents.

I started using them and noticing a strong urine smell after an hour or so, which I hadn't had with any other nappy. This was unfortunate as I kept having to check to see if he needed a change, when he obviously didn't.

The worst thing about them though was that since he was born, he has never had a bad case of nappy rash. I have always manage to catch it early with cream and keeping clean. Once the redness started to show this time however, it got worse very quickly and developed into a sore rash which took over a week to heal (with cream and another brand nappy). I noticed that the top most sheet which is closest to his skin used to stick to his skin after a short time of using, therefore not giving it space to breathe.

I won't be buying Pampers again even with all the vouchers they keep trying to tempt me with through the supermarket (why don't they ever have vouchers for the Nature nappies?!). Not a great experience for us unfortunately.

Summary: Fine as a last resort, but the smell an nappy rash issues means a no-no for us

if the coupons are the ones from papmpers that you can use at any shop, Asda and tesco will accept them against your shopping, even if not buying the item. As long as they sell the item, they will take the coupon!
