Advantages: Very stretchy and absorbant

Disadvantages: Pricey, but worth every penny

Before my baby was born, I had all good intentions of using reusable nappies. I have already written about my experiences of resuables, but suffice to say, despite my best efforts, I am now a convert to disposables and try to put my eco conscience to one side whilst doing so.

Having tried numerous different brands of disposables, I have to say I have found the Pampers Active Fit by far the best. My boy is a real wriggler and when he is not wriggling on my lap he is crawling around like a mad thing trying to explore every cupboard, dark hole and generally everywhere he shouldn't. This being the case, his nappies need to work hard in order not to leak and many of the cheaper brands on the market just aren't up the job.

The Pampers Active Fit as the name implies are designed to be extra stretchy to copy with wrigglers, and amazingly they do actually do what
they are supposed to and it is very rare that they leak. They also last very well, and we don't have any problems not changing our boy during the night. I find that the Active Fit are more absorbant than the Pampers Baby Dry which are reputedly designed for night time use, but I actually found that they leaked more.

Pampers are obviously more expensive than say the supermarket own branded nappies, but I have to say are by far worth the extra money given that they do actually work - anything that reduces the number of outfit changes during the day has got to be worth the extra in my view.

It is possible to reduce the cost of the nappies by watching out for special offers in the supermarkets or Boots who often have the larger packs on 3 for 2. Also, if you join "Pampers Village" you get sent money off coupons which can really add up so is well worth joining.

So, a definate recommendation for wriggle bums everywhere.

Summary: Great nappy which really does what it claims to
