Advantages: They are brilliant, they hold in what they need to!
Disadvantages: For Me there have been one!
When my twin boys were newborn I religiously stuck to Pampers nappies, only the best for my boys right? Wrong in my opinion! They suffered from many leaks and unfortunately many more nappies falling apart too after only one or two pees so I quickly changed brands and found myself stuck with Boots. I love Boots own nappies now but when going in the other day to get my usuals they were out of stock so I had to choose another brand. I'm not too fond of huggies and didn't fancy using the baby dry version of Pampers either so I opted for an economy pack of Pampers Active Fit.
You can buy Pampers Activie fit in economy packs which contain around 46 nappies for the larger sizes like a size 5 which is what I buy, I find numbers of nappies varies per size though. You can also buy Pampers Active Fit in sizes 3, 4, 4+, 5 and last but not least 5+. Obviously you don't have to guess what each number is meant to mean and on each packet it tells you the weight associated with each number! You can also buy travel pack sizes containing around 20+ nappies or jumbo boxes.
Pampers Active Fit come in the deep purple and green packets, or even boxes if you buy a jumbo box. They clearly say Active fit so no confusing them with any other design or product and they also show a picture of a baby toddling and climbing up a step.
Being nappies these are designed to hold in what they need to but as they are the Active Fit design they are not designed to hold in plenty of water during long nights. These are aimed more for the children on the go, climbing about on furniture, pulling themselves up the stairs etc. The way they are designed is to allow easy manouvering for children, leaving them feeling confident, comfortable yet holding all their mess in at the same time when need be.
Feeling one fresh out of the packet they are alot thinner than the baby dry versions of Pampers and don't look like they will hold much in but like I said I wasn't expecting them to hold alot in I just wanted my boys to be able to move about freely without any restrictions, rubbing or irritation from their nappies.
You put these nappies on your child the way you would do with the baby dry nappies, or any other nappies for that matter, apart from the pull ups of course as they are the next stage of nappies that can be used. Although they feel and look alot thinner they can surpisingly hold in quite alot when need be without any leaks or messes anywhere, even whilst my twins are moving about and clambering onto my settee which once seemed twice the height of them they still allow alot of movement and keep whatever messes are made safe within them. The tabs that fasten around the sides to secure the nappy onto your child I find has a little extra pull and movement to them which is possibly what allows your child to move about a little more.
Overall I'm quite impressed with these, my boys seem comfortable enough wearing them and they can move about and climb on whatever they feel like - to a certain extent lol - without me having to worry about their nappy becoming loose or stopping them from moving about. Although they seem to allow alot of movement for your child they still seem quite strong and have a good, secure hold around your baby at the same time which is brilliant. I'd recommend them to anybody who has a child on the go and still in nappies.
They have a funky design, the purple colour theme remains the same but they have different patterns and even characters decorating them, the pack I have here is Sesame Street themed, so if you do have a child who doesn't really want to be put into the nappy this could persuade them.
Summary: A decent nappy that seems comfortable and allows movement.
