Advantages: Moist, good size, sensitive

Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than other brands

I had my third baby in October 2007 and there was no decision to be made on which wipes or nappies I would choose to use, I had used Pampers products with my older children and found them to be the best and most economical. With all my children I initially just used cotton wool and water for cleaning the baby's bottom but gradually moved onto wipes, eventually something a little more robust than cotton wool is required for cleaning up during a nappy change.

With my first child I had experimented with different brands, looking for the best quality and price eventually I settled on Pampers Sensitive. My eldest child had eczema and everything seemed to irritate her except the Pampers Sensitive. Therefore with my 2 younger children I did not even have to think about which wipes I would use, I stocked up on Pampers Sensitive.

The Pampers wipes come in a soft plastic, rectangular shaped packet, the packet is basically white with green flashes, the Pampers logo and a picture of a mother and baby are displayed on the front. I buy the Sensitive wipes and they are distinguishable from the ordinary Pampers wipes, the ordinary wipes are in an overly green packet. The pack contains 63 wipes, as opposed to 72 in the non-sensitive wipes. The Sensitive wipes are perfume and alcohol free but do have added chamomile and aloe, the packet states they have been dermatologically tested. Once opened the packet should be used within 3 months, they should not be disposed of by flushing down the loo, they have to go in the bin. Sometimes if the packet is left open the wipes dry out, but usually if you sprinkle a little water in the packet and leave for a little while they will be moist again, or if you turn the packet upside down the mositure seems to reappear.

I find the wipes are strong and moist but not too wet, they do not fall apart when you are using them and I find they are a good hand size so can scoop up a lot of mess. There is no overpowering perfume. They are also a good size and because they are strong I do not have to use too many for each nappy change, therefore they are economical. I also use these wipes for wiping hands and faces at meal times but I also use them for cleaning my leather suite, they are very good at removing dirt and grime from my suite and so far have not caused it any damage. I do use them for wiping other sticky marks off the furniture.

Pampers Sensitive wipes are available in most supermarkets and chemists. I usually buy mine in Tesco or Boots, depending on who has them on offer, usually buy 1 get 1 free. When not on offer they cost around £2.29. Pampers Sensitive wipes are made by Procter and Gamble, more information on Pampers can be found at www.pampers.com

Summary: A good quality product
