Having twin toddlers I am always on the look out for new and innovative products that can actually do the job they are meant to. Both my boys being only 20 months and still in nappies as you can imagine I go through alot of wipes. I was lectured when they were babies to use cotton wool and water when changing them as it was softer on a babies skin but as you can imagine this just isn't practical but I do like wetwipes to be gentle and not irritate my boys skin at all.

I've tried many brands of wipes but I seem to only buy ones which are on offer. The other day though I was watching tele and a bright and colourful Orange advert came on about the new Pampers selection, affordable wipes and nappies. It was the colour that caught my eye initially, a real eyecatching bright orange, you'd never miss it on a shelf I was sure of that. Affordable was the next thing that interested me, on the advert it gave a reccomended retail price of £1.39, better than Boots own that was, but then Boots own are often on offer buy one get one free yet at the same time I don't think their quality are quite the same anymore and they seem to dry out my skin.

Off to Boots I trotted with my advantage card in tow and I was right I couldn't miss them on the wetwipes shelves. Amongst all the whites, purples and greens were a distinctive and appealing bright orange Pampers Simply Clean wipes - they also had white packs with a bit of orange, these were the sensitive version. Pampers are a reputable brand and although I had problems with their nappies in the past I have liked their wipes and sometimes bought them on offer too. I picked up a few packets of these at £1.39 each, although they are on offer at the moment in Boots two packs for £2.

Although these wipes come in a bright orange packet the Green, white and yellow Pampers logo sits comfortably in the corner. Simply Clean is what it says on the front with a yellow sun/heart next to it. Each pack contains 72 wipes which I think is quite generous for a top brand wipe. You are not really told much else around the pack just that these are 'Super' and 'dermatologically tested' as well as being soap free, none of this boasted as such just written in small print mostly. The pack really hasn't any clever puns nor paragraphs to draw you in and make you want to buy them the colour of the pack alone captures you and it is real hard to resist.

Theres a peel back film on top of the packet which of course needs to be peeled back to get into the packet and placed back down to secure the wipes and maintain their freshness, which can often be a pain as sometimes the peel back flap gets dirty and loses it's stickiness resulting in the top few wipes drying up when the air has got to them.

These wipes are like no others I've tried smell wise - they have a fresh burst of fruity citrus scents which are extremely refreshing and uplifting. They don't have that typical baby, just bathed smell but they definitely smell clean, rich and orangey I must say.

Despite their stunning scent and fragrance which is invigorating to say the least I was a bit disapointed at just looking at a wipe. It is quite a small rectangle wipe, that small it just about makes a rectangle instead of a square if you ask me. They are quite thin too and to be honest don't look like they could wipe water off a kitchen side with ease let alone a toddlers mess off skin without some struggle. I'd bought them already though so had to give them a try. They had a cute little design of baby chicks on them, yet that design isn't enough to redeem them yet!

My two darling boys done their business about the same time so I had two trials with these wipes straightaway. I pulled out just two wipes and used one to wipe away the mess and was instantly shocked that the wipe had no problems in wiping it away, soaking it in and holding it well, as well as leaving a lovely fruity fragrance on my boys skin. Exactly the same happened with my other boys bum too, it wiped clean with ease, wafting it's refreshing scent with every glide across his bum. They didn't rip nor show any signs of ripping either which I was extremely pleased with.

Not only was I impressed with their strength as well as their scent now but they didn't irritate my boys skin either, nor my hands. They seem quite a moisturising wipe in fact and my hands have felt quite soft after using them and my boys skin is clear and rash free. Even if they do have a rash from teething these wipes don't seem to bother them in the slightest they seem quite comfortable with their smooth and soft glides across their skin.

I'd reccomend these to absolutely anybody whethey you have children or not, they can give a quick and convenient clean to your hands when out and about and even a refreshing wipe to your face on a hot summers day as well as providing you with a lovely fragrance. They are soft to the touch and smooth to wipe across your skin and are a real treat to use.

Thanks for this. I've seen these advertised and wondered if they'd be as good as normal Pampers wipes x
