Advantages: Smell nice, not harsh to skin
Disadvantages: Too small and thin
After seeing an advert for these new baby wipes on T.V, I thought I'd give them a try.
I go through two packets of baby wipes every week , using them for wiping little bums, hands, faces and all sorts of messes - so am keen to pay less for them to save a bit of money.
These are made by Pampers, and cost £1.39 for a pack from most chemists. This is around half the price of my usual full priced brand, however I actually bought mine from Pound Land where they had loads available for .......wait for it......one whole pound!!
A little side note here, I often check Pound Land for baby items and am surprised to see brand named products often. A couple of weeks ago they were selling all sorts of Johnson's products so I stocked up on a few things.
Back the the Simply Clean wipes. They come in a really nice orange packaging which looks lovely and eye catching. I was expecting no frills packaging because of the price, but it is just as nice as for the regular wipes.
On opening the packet, I was loving the scent. They have a hint of a citrus smell, but nothing too overpowering or artificial - very nice and pleasant.
The wipes are rather small and thin though - I was a bit disappointed. They have been tested (by me) on the little one, and although they do the job, You have to use twice as many because they are so thin and small - they definately don't do as good a job as my usual Johnson's brand.
Overall, I wasn't very impressed. I might keep a packet of these in my bag for wiping baby's hands as they smell fresh and aren't harsh on his skin, but will continue to use my usual brand for messier areas (namely the bum).
Summary: I've used better
