Pampers Simply Dry Nappies

Description: Brand: Pampers / Type: Nappies

... they have compromised on quality. I have used several packets of these now for my one year old and two year old and have ben really happy with the results. I have had no leaks, and the perhaps more puffy look does not seem to be inhibiting my kids. I have not tried them at night as the economy feel maybe makes me dubious. However, as a nappy for the day they have been effective, and therefore worth investing the "test time" in. I would recommend these to any mum, although with a newborn, you might want to...more

Premium Review Pampers Simply Dry Nappies: A rose by any other name... (284 words)

We had a Pampers voucher that needed using and we found that when used with Simply Dry they worked out cheaper than the regular Tesco variety, so we thought it would be nice to treat our baby boy to what we believed would be the luxury of a brand name. They are thinner and lighter than any other nappy I have seen, I first thought this was a good thing as would ensure extra comfort and mobility for my son; however, they moment he wets, they expand more than any other nappy meaning they need to be changed more often. The stretchy elastic is a nice touch and there is a cute design on the velcro strip. I am absolutely dedicated to preventing nappy rash ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Simply average (403 words)

I had noticed these nappies for a while in my local supermarket and had been aware of Pampers marketing campaign for this cheaper line of nappies. I had a quick look at the reviews on this site for these nappies and none of them were particularly favourable, some stating that they had caused nappy rash and sore little botties. This really put me off but then one week, Tesco had no stock of the size I required of their own brand nappies. I was scanning the shelves for analternative and the orange packaging of the Pampers Simply Dry nappies jumped out at me. I thought they were woth a try, so picked up a pack of 26 for £3.99. This range is much cheaper with ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Pampers Simply Dry Nappies: An embarrassment to the Pampers name (885 words)
by - written on 15/09/09 (Very useful, 68 readings)

I've read bad things about these Pampers Simply Dry nappies and have conditioned myself to avoid the 'orange pack' in the shop, however cheap they are compared to others in the Pampers range. Last weekend my niece visited and gave me almost a full packet of them because her silly husband had bought size 5 when their baby is just seven months old, being infinitely more sensible than her husband she was aware that my granddaughter at two would be more suited to this particular size! They look pretty much the same as any other Pampers nappy but on drawing one out of the packet I was instantly hit by the poor quality feel of them. They are visibly ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Simply Dry gave my daughter Nappy Rash (319 words)
by - written on 01/09/09 (Very useful, 30 readings)

This new economy nappy that they have labelled "Simply Dry" is a cheaper version of the "baby dry" nappy and when you cut corners to make the production cheaper, then the quality of the product is bound to suffer - which I found out when I switched to the "Simply Dry" nappy. I saw an advert on TV that Pampers Simply Dry Nappies were on offer in Morrison's for £5 for a big pack. "Fantastic", I thought and I went and bought 3 packets and was very happy that I'd made such a big saving. Within 3 days my daughter developed a nappy rash. I didn't link this to the nappy at first and just used Sudacrem to treat ...  Read the complete review

During tough financial times any money can be saved on day to day items is a bonus. Pampers have recently introduced their new Simply Dry no frills, basic nappies. Pampers state: "Simply Dry - a great value nappy with Pampers trusted dryness. With new Simply Dry from Pampers, there's no need to compromise on the dryness quality your baby needs for his healthy happy development. With Simply Dry, you get Pampers trusted dryness at a great value." The RRP is £3.99 for 26 nappies but many supermarkets and shops have been advertising them at special introductory rates, for example, we bought a packet of 60 (called the economy ...  Read the complete review
