Advantages: cheap and cheerful

Disadvantages: flimsy, bulky.

When it comes to nappies I have to say I like to give anything a go. When our son had outgrown his new baby nappies we needed to move onto midi nappies and there were so many to choose from but when I saw a large pack in Asda for just £4 I decided to try these first.

Pampers are a reputable brand of nappies so I was expecting these to be reliable and good value for money. I found that the simply dry range fell in line with own brand supermarket nappies and when I got home and opened the pack I noticed they were not as soft but still quite slimline.

The nappies themselves still have velcro tabs and stretch sides but not as stretchy as other variants of pampers nappies and I found that when I pulled the tabs to fasten they did pull off on the odd ocassion.

Using the nappies I found them to be fine there were no leakage issues but there was a strong odour as soon as our baby had gone to the toilet which we found difficult to mask. The nappies were bulky when filled and I went through a lot more of these compared to other brands/variants/

The simply dry range come in 3 sizes, 3,4,5.

I found these nappies were fine for use during the day but I do find that at night I prefer to use a more reliable nappy such as the baby dry or the active fit nappy as these bulk out very quickly and our son seemed to get a nappy rash each time these nappies were used.

The nappys did keep him dry but not for long periods of time and we found that every time we went out he had to be changed even if we were only out for a short shopping trip.

I have only purchased one pack of these nappies and I will not be purchasing them again as I think the supermarket own brands are much better than these the packaging makes them look like value priced nappies but really these do not offer value for money they are simply awful.

Summary: You get what you pay for.
