disappointed in pampers wipes (Pampers Wipes)

Advantages: nice smell

Disadvantages: expensive, too thin, not damp enough

I bought these for my son whislt pregnant after seeing them on BOGOF and in need of wipes along with other supplies and not to know what to expect I thought leading brands were the way to go.

When you open the packet the smell is really nice that comes out, getting the 1st wipe out is slightly difficult but after that they come out easily. For just changing damp nappies they are fine for giving a refreshing, clean feel. However when it came to the true test of dirty nappies, they fell flat on their face. The wipes are very, very thin and are hardly damp at all, so when there is poo stuck everywhere possible you need a good handful to ensure the poo doesnt come through the wipe on to your hand, and also to make it wet enough to actually clean it. As the baby gets older and the poo is more solid and sticks everywhere these just dont work.

Im usually a big fan of pampers and have used their nappies with all my children and will do again, but certainly wont be using the wipes, regardless of the offer, unless there less then 50p, as think a lot of the own brand wipes are better quality then these.

Summary: dont do the job intended - usually a big fan of pampers but hate these
