Rubbish & sticky tabs stuck to baby's tummy (Pampers)

Advantages: If nothing else available, useful.

Disadvantages: Leak, tabs stuck to babys tummy, smell funny, should I go on.....

After normally buying Huggies and finding that the supermarket didn't have the size that I wanted I decided to buy Pampers as I don't like homebrands of nappies.
Never again. I think I can honestly say the only thing they were good for was using to soak up the pint of lager that my husband accidentally spilled on the dining room carpet!
I don't know if anyone else has had the same problem but I'm sure they must have, but every time my baby moved slightly when I was changing her nappy the tab would stick to her tummy. It was just like pulling a plaster off when removing it (not very pleasant for a very young or newborn baby I can tell you).
Another thing too, I found they have a funny smell, like a plastic smell or something like those markers you used to like the smell of when you were a kid. They also leave tiny crystals on her bum, I know these are put in the nappy to soak up the liquid but you expect them to stay in the nappy not be on the childs bum!
Enough said I think, I won't buy them again unless they are the last ones on the shelf and the way this petrol crisis is going, well.......
