Advantages: dry, comfy, regular vouchers
Disadvantages: slightly expensive
When I was pregnant with my first i didnt know which brand of nappies to choose, there was an offer on huggies so opted for them and wish i hadnt, soon I went out and bought pampers and have never looked back. I used them all the time for my first, still use them for my second and will be using them again this time.
Pampers are more expensive then shop own brands about £8 for a large carrier pack, however Morrisons often stock the boxes which are better value at £9.99. They have a variety of sizes and styles, vary from the newborn nappies, must designed to hold baby baby poo, to the baby dry nappies for longer stretches especially at night, to the active fit for babies on the move and the pull ups for toddlers. WEach come in size catogries such as 4, 4+, 5 etc depending on the weight, however I dont think the weight is always an accurate guideline.
Only very rarely have we expereinced any problems, usually the quality is fantastic, neither of my children have ever had nappy rash and only on a few occasions have leaked and state they go 12hrs at night, well both mine sleep 14hrs and never woke wet.
If you join the pampers club online you often get money off vouchers which are really handy (im also a member of huggies but get no where near as many vouchers). I also keep my eyes out for special offers and stock up. In 2005 when my son was using them the best offer then was save a £1, but now a lot of supermarkets often have them on offer saving a 1/3 which is great meaning they are actually the same price as shop brand nappies. Definately would not trust another brand,.
Summary: i wouldnt trust another brand
