When I found out that I was pregnant with my son George (now 2 years old) I thought I would stock up on nappies. I'd heard that Pampers were good, so i bought lots of the mini size nappies. They were suitable for babies from 6lb. When George was born, though, I found that these nappies leaked.

George weighed 6lb 14ozs at birth, but I realised that the reason they were leaking was because this size was too big for him!

I then used Somerfield's own brand of nappies which seemed to do the same job, but didn't leak and were a lot cheaper.

As George grew and fluid intake increased I found that I had to use either Pampers or Huggies as any other brands leaked after about an hour or so! These seemed much more absorbant.

I must admit that Pampers and Huggies are the nicest fit of nappies I've tried (and I've tried quite a few!)

They are made of a cotton like fabric with elasticated legs. They also have baby lotion within them. The tabs are sticky and also velcro. I found with the Somerfield nappies that as they had sticky seals if you had any cream on your hands the seals wouldn't stick and you'd waste a nappy!

At £5.65 for a smallish pack I think they are worth the extra money.
