Advantages: they work, value for money

Disadvantages: they contain poo once used!!!!

They say on the advert for these new baby nappies that poo happens, and as a new mother to a delightful but very pooey baby boy, I can heartily agree!!!

Being the organized type of person that I am, since being twenty weeks pregnant, every time I went to Tesco's I bought something for “bump”, either nappies or wipes or shampoo – you know the kind of thing. I also did the same if I popped into Boots or Superdrug, so once young James was born I didn’t have to go out and buy any of the baby essentials. It also meant that I had tons of nappies from almost all makes available and having tried all these different brands and changed hundreds of nappies in the last few weeks, I feel qualified to write on why I think the new pampers are the best.

The first plus with them is the size. They really do fit small babies! Some of the others stated that they did, but were actually far too big. The pampers nappies had a good fit, with room for a bigger baby but able to close up tightly for a smaller baby. They say they fit from 4lbs to 11lbs in weight, which seems to allow for even premature babies.

Secondly, the tabs are re-sealable. Whilst this is a feature in all the nappies I tried, the pampers nappies actually did reseal – every time. This saved me from having to throw away nappies that I had checked and found didn’t need changing ( it doesn’t happen often, I know!)

Thirdly, the price is really comparative with 24 nappies costing just over £3.00 in most places. Because they actually work, you have to change them slightly less often and because they don’t leak, babies clothes need changing less often which saves money on detergent and washing machine costs.

Lastly and most importantly, they have a mesh type layer, which sucks all the “runny” bits out of the poo and keeps it away from babies bum. This means he’s not lying in runny poo and stops him getting sore. It
also makes him easier to change for inexperienced mums (and dads too!) as poo doesn’t go everywhere when you are trying to change a screaming, wriggling baby..

Its difficult to get too exited about a nappy, but when you think about it, all you want is one that doesn’t leak and makes an unpleasant job as bearable as possible. Well, this nappy does just that. So in my opinion, its worth buying.

i tried all sorts of nappies too and found that Huggies or Pampers were the best by miles - cheaper brands really were a false economy.
