Advantages: keeps baby dry

Disadvantages: expensive

i have had 3 kids, and the youngest is still in nappies. When I had my first child 8 years ago, there wasn't a lot of choice in the nappy department. The shops own brands were not really up to much at that time and I refused to use terry nappies. Although you had a choice on either boys or girls nappies depending on the sex of your child. At that time I found Huggies made the best girls nappies so that's what I used. When I had my second child (a boy) in 1994 the choice had widened a little and some of the shops own brands were ok. But I still preferred the more expensive brand names. (personal choice and experience) This time I found huiggies were pretty useless for my little boy and switched to pampers which were much better.
I had my 3rd child last year (1999) and she is 16 months old now. She is a bit on the large side being very tall for her age plus she is a little chubby, although not fat, I have had to resort to using pampers extra large nappies as the junior size is just too tight. i have tried many different brands, from the shops own make to pampers premium and everything else in between. When I used huggies my poor little girl had nappy rash so bad her bottom bled. Needless to say I didn't use them much, I have also had a few friends who kids have had the same problem with huggies, although it's mainly been the girls. I still find pampers to be the best brand, it actually does do what it says in the ad and keeps her little bottom nice and dry, even after a good night of say 14 hours sleep. She likes her sleep does Francesca :o)
I also find that if we have to go out the nappy keeps her fresh until we get home (although I do take a change just in case) The only gripe I would have is the price. Because of her size, I can't use the stores own brand because they just don't make them big enough in the 2 supermarkets I have to choose from, so I have to pay more for the larger branded make. I wonder who else has noticed that the s
upermarkets never seem to have special offers on nappies either. They are always going on how they have all these by 2 get one free or whatever deals, but I have yet to see that on nappies.
All in all I personally would recommend Pampers as I have always found them to be good quality nappies although a little on the expensive side
