~~~What is a Popo?~~~ Made in Austria, these popular nappies are a one sized shaped nappy that adjust by a series of poppers that you snap together to alter the size. You fasten the nappy closed with velcro and use a nappy covering called a wrap to prevent wetness escaping. This nappy is really a design concept as it actually comes in a wide variety of styles to fit your indivual needs or style. For those requiring high absorbency, there is a cotton terry version, which is available in a further three different styules. If you prefer organic products, you can get it in 100% organic cotton terry. it is thicker than the other terry options, so be ... Read the complete review
When I changed my son over to re-usable nappies I managed to get hold of some of these to try on him. Popolino Snap to Fit Nappies are a one size nappy which means they will fit from birth to potty training. You can adjust the size by means of poppers that make the front shorter or longer and it fastens around the waist with Velcro. There are 3 versions of the Snap to Fit, patterned and natural, made of 100% cotton flannel outer with a polyester centre soaker. The soaker is made from hospital grade polyester (used to make operating theatre swabs). The softy(which I haven't tried... yet!!) is soft fluffy 100% cotton all through, and is a bit more bulky ... I bought Popolinos from Little Green Earthlets, an online environmentally friendly store. They recommended 20 nappies with a couple of wraps for each size. The Popolino nappies are adjustable with poppers and should last until my little girl is potty trained... then I can use them for any other little ones I may have in the future! I decided to investigate reusables as they are a cheaper and better alternative for the environment than the plastic ones we fill our bins and landfills with. I have been very pleased with these nappies. They are absorbent and Jasmine (my 4month old) has never had any problems with nappy rash, etc. ... Read the complete review
I bought 30 Motherease Popolino snap to fit nappies a couple of years ago (imported from the US for $8.50 each). They have a number of ways of fitting the nappy, and plenty of different poppers so that you can adjust them to fit pretty much from birth up to toilet training (2 1/2 years for my daughter). The Motherease waterproof wraps are particularly good, with a very good fit. They are not as absorbant as a disposable nappy, but are prefectly adequate, and washing and drying hasn't been a big problem. We've ended up taking them to a lauderette to dry them 3 or 4 times in 2 years, when the weather has been too wet to get them dried in time. ... Read the complete review
