Advantages: Easy way to use a potty/training seat in any environment
Disadvantages: Buying separate liners
I bought this Potette Plus travel potty from Ebay after realising that because my child was potty training I would need a travel potty to use whilst out of the house that we would have immediate access too, because toddlers can't wait in line for a toilet and because all too often toilets are not nice or clean enough to use.
I needed something that was going to be easy to travel with round town, useful on the beach, hygienic and a product that my child was going to confident and happy to use (if you have small children you know how fussy they can be about things).
Potette Plus fills that bill perfectly. The idea is that it doubles up as a travel potty with liners and folds out to form a training seat and folds flat when not in use and fits inside the carry bag provided. It is sturdy and well built with rubberized surfaces on any area where it is going to come into contact with toilet seat or floor. When the Potette Plus is folded up to form a potty it is just as stable as the potty your child would use at home, the liner insert can then be detached and thrown away just like a nappy in a nappy sack. These liners have to be bought separately.
I have used the Potette Plus as a potty for my 2 year old in the back of my people carrier, on the beach, in nappy changing rooms and as a training seat at family homes and I wouldn't be without it, this travel potty takes the pain out of outside potty training.
Summary: Two in one travel potty and training seat

- 20/08/09 Sounds like a better option than lugging a potty about everywhere - which is what we did with our eldest! I'll have to start thinking about potty training our two year old soon so this is a useful review.
Welcom e to Dooyoo. Good first review x |

I know what you mean, it does seem crazy and you could use carrier bags but sometimes they have small holes in the bottom which means the wee would leak out, so you would need to put something in to soak up the wee. The liners come with absorbant pads in the bottom to soak up the wee. Also these bags are designed to lock away odour - especially if you can't get rid of it straight away. But carrier bags would probably be a cheaper option. |

- 18/08/09 Can you not just use doubled up old carrier bags? The expense of buying liners just to fill with, well, wee and poo seems rather bizarre! |
