Being plastic though I did find that when wet the bottom of the seat became slippery so until my twins were sturdy enough sat up on there own without having to lean slightly on the backrest I had to lay a flannel on the bottom to prevent them from slipping and hurting themselves. These can only really be used once your child can sit up unaided, even though th...more

Being on my own with twin boys it has been difficult but I have tried my best to find things which could help me with my daily routines. One thing I really needed help with was bath times, especially as my boys got older. I didn't want to keep asking for help from my mum as they are my kids and I needed to learn how to cope on my own. My safest option in the long run was to bath both my boys together, I was trying to think ahead and knew I wouldnt be able to watch one in the bath and the other rolling or crawling around the floor. I searched on the internet for my solution and came up with Safety First bath seats. I read no reviews about them and just purchased two ...  Read the complete review

A friend of mine gave this to me when my oldest daughter was about 6 months old as her daughter had grown too big for it. It's now on its third child as my youngest daughter is now being bathed in it regularly. I don’t actually know how much this does cost in the shops to buy new but I believe its less than £10 to in my mine this is very good value for money as its not too expensive to buy. It is a very sturdy item of baby equipment but also very light to carry about(hence its done for 3 children and hopefully more!). The suckers attached to the bottom of the seat make it nice and easy to attach to the bottom of the bath so that the seat does not slide ...  Read the complete review

Why did I need a bath seat? This is kayleigh's forth bathing devise at the grand age of 14 months. Before she was born I bought a lovely Winnie The Pooh inflatable bath, for about £15. I had the lovely idea that I could just inflate and deflate as I needed it so that the bathroom would still look vaguely adult, unlike every other room being overridden by baby swings, crib, moses basket, gym, playmats, need I go on. Anyway, out popped by first child, Kayleigh, born on my birthday - Yippee, and she was so tiny there was no way I could put her in this huge inflatable boat so I washed her in a wasking up bowl - cheap and very effective for little ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bath times are for splashing (453 words)

By the time my son was 4 months old it was already almost impossible to bath him in the baby bath that we had been using so it was into the ‘big bath’ he went. However, my husband, who baths him most nights was finding it very difficult to hold him safely by leaning over the side of the bath. There was only one thing for it, we had to by a bath seat. Although most bath seats are not really recommended until the baby can sit up on its own we decided that our son would be OK. Off we went to mothercare and came back with the cheapest they had in stock - it was the Safety 1st bath seat. It cost us £9.99 and in my opinion has been a very good buy. ...  Read the complete review

One of the best buys that I have ever made for my daughter is her bath seat. It is a little plastic chair with stickers on the bottom and a frame round it which you put in the bath. You can get them in lots of places now, I bought mine in Argos or Index and it cost about £9.50. My daughter loves it, it has got a couple of beads of the front which she used to play with when she was very little but most importantly it keeps her safe and allows me to play with her without having to hold onto her. She is now 22 months so doesn’t have to be held onto all the time but when she was little it was great and even now I know she is safe. However you must never ...  Read the complete review
