Advantages: safer, saves your back
Disadvantages: can tip over
I bought this from a car boot sale for three pounds and I have not been disapointed yet. Whereas I was struggling to lean over a very high bath to hold a very wriggly eight month old I am now able to play with her and her toys in the bath easier and wash her hair easier and she gets to spend longer in the bath she loves. I am also able to take her out of the chair at the end of bath time for a little splash about in the water as my back is no longer painful by this time. The chair is a nice blue colour and has three spinning toys on the front bar to keep baby occupied but I have found that since she has got older she has got bored with them. It has four suction pads underneath to keep it steady in the bath but my daughter still found a way to make it tip over the first time she used it. Still, there was no harm done and we learnt to always have one hand resting on the back of the chair. The chair is mainly circular in shape with bars coming down from the top edge so she can't slip through. There is lots of room for the water to flow through though. Kay loves her chair and has learnt to angle her legs at 45 degrees now to make it easier to get her in. The chair has definetly helped make her bath times less stressful and more fun and it makes the time all the more special as we both enjoy it and are not rushing to finish. I would recommend this chair to everyone as it has definetly made my life easier. Even though they do make life easier they can not be relied upon to give surport at all times and babies should never be left on their own in them. I have been informed that there was a case where a suction pad had come off of the chair and the mother left her child alone in the bath. It doesn't really bear thinking about does it. The chair is normally sold for 6.99 at Argos. Thanks for reading. Love Lex xx
