Advantages: Safely lets babies sit in their bath.

Disadvantages: No comfort level what so ever.

I got this for my baby Jasmine after she grew out of her first bath seat, i thought it would be good for her to be able to sit up in the bath to splash in the water.

It come's more or less all ready to go you just need to push it into the bath and make sure that the suckers on the bottom are all stuck firmly to stop it from slipping.

The first time i used it Jasmine was about 6 months old and had just started to sit up without to much support. I put her into the seat and waited for the usuall smiles and giggles. Unfortunatly i was met with a quivering lip and out stretched arms as it to say 'let me out'. She started crying and as she wiggled she slipped back and her back pressed against the back.
I took her out and decided to leave it a month or two until she was a bit more steady at sitting.

The next time i tried it was still the same. There is no sort of grip to keep baby's bottom in the one place and Jasmine kept slipping back which left her back pressing against the hard plastic back and her crotch pressing against the middle pole. She hated it and cried again until she was taken out.

I have used it since but i have had to pad it out with towels, although this works it is a hassle having two or three wet towels everytime i bath her. In saying this it is very good when it is padded. Jasmine can sit up and splash and its very easy to wash her hair, not so easy to wash her bottom. It also means i can sit and watch her play for a few minutes without having to bend over to hold her.

The seat is very safe and because of the suckers on the bottom it doesn't slip in the bath. It is also quite high so you can have the water that little bit deeper.

Good points

Easy to wash hair
Lets you have both hands free.
easy to clean, just rinse it under the tap.
Light to carry and small enough to pop in a cupboard.
Cheap, i got mine for £9.99.
Safe for baby.
Let's baby play and you to play with her.

Bad points

No padding, some water proof covering to pad it out would be great or even some foam.
Hard to wash baby's bottom.

I suppose it is worth it if your baby doesnt mind the hard plastic but you wont know until you buy it.
It is great to watch Jasmine in it when i've padded it out, she does like being upright, but of course as safe as it is you should never leave baby unattended.

Thanks for reading.

Summary: No comfort at all.
