Advantages: Hands free

Disadvantages: Uncomfortable and slippy

If you have read my other reviews on bath time accessories then you will know that I have not been that impressed with bath related products so far and I'm afraid this is the same:(

Ibought it when my son started sitting up at about 7 months and it cost around £7. The one I have is blue and is made of hard plastic. It has four suction pads on the bottom so it can stick to the bath and a little plastic bit on the side which you pull to release the pads. It has a few rings on the front of the seat but they quickly lost appeal with my son.

The main thing about this seat is that you can sit your baby in it and have your hands free to wash them. It's suppose to make bath time easier and it does to a certain extent.

The main problem I had with this seat was when I sat my son in it he wouls slip forward and the bar in between his legs was crushing his bits and pieces and it was pretty hard on his little back too. Ikept having to push him back so he would sit upright again. At first I thought it was because he wasn't very stable at siiting yet but Isoon realised this wasn't the case as he got older. Surely this doesn't do there testicles any good?

My son wasn't a big baby infact the health visitors were always moaning that he was small but as he got older it got more and more awkward to fit him into the seat. His legs would get stuck and the bar would rub against his bare skin causing it to look red and scratched.

He also found it hard to play with other toys because the seat came up quite high on his little body.

Despite all of this I did find this seat useful when I needed to go to the bathroom cupboard and get a towel (I know I should do this before but I always forget something at bath time) or something. At least I didn't have to get my boy out and drip water all over the bathroom floor and let him get cold unecessarily.

I don't think this item is particularly essential but for £7 it's not a bad buy although I think it's easier to do it the old fashioned way.

Summary: A chair that is practical but there are alot of negatives.

We had the same squahed bits problem, and the suction cups were never good enough, i've known too many of these tip foward ending with baby face down in the water, not good!

Never bought anything like this - I think these sort of things are a waste of money. Please don't leave baby unattended in a bath seat, accidents have happened with these. Good review :)
