Advantages: very safe, has toys built in
Disadvantages: only one colour available
I recently had to finally admit defeat with my daughters baby bath support- she is now nearly 7 months and much more active( shes a pretty good splasher!!!) and so I did some research. I went onto kiddicare.com after hearing they were really good, and saw a couple of different bath seats suited to her age. I was really wary and read every last detail before choosing the Safety 1st swivel seat as I am a little overprotective and hoped the bath seat I chose would be safe enough and appropriate to her age group. I paid £8.95 for the seat which I thought was very reasonable, and the delivery was also fantastic, only taking a few days and Kiddicare sent an email stating the date and the hour in which it would arrive meaning I could be home!
When I first used the seat, I realised my daughter absolutely loved it. She could sit up, feeling much more independant and kick her legs about at the same time. The contoured backrest provides comfort for my child and peace of mind for me as a parent. For me, I could play with her and the toys in the bath without worrying about holding her safely on the bath support. The seat has suction pads, which I am always wary of ( if you see my review on baby bubble machine, you may understand why!) but I was thrilled to find they were REALLY GOOD. I mean, I couldnt get it out of the bath at first....it was really stuck there!!! It has little grippy bits in which you pull up on each suction pad to release the seat- very very safe. The seat swivels 360 degrees, making bathtimes alot easier with washing hair etc and there are 3 different coloured rings on the front for baby to play with. These toys at the front keep the child interacting and interested, especially helpful if they normally hate bathtime! If you have a toddler and a small baby, this seat would be ideal as you can sort baby out without worrying your toddler is unsafe in their bath seat. Another great pro about this item for me, was that it saved my back !!! Leaning over the bath to use the baby bath support was not the most comfortable of tasks and this totally relieves me of that!! I think the only negative point that I feel about this product is that it only comes in a blue colour, it might be nice to bring out some other colours so that if I had two children for example, I wouldnt have two of the same seat.
The seat is designed to suit children aged 6-12 months and can be bought from such shops as Amazon, Asda, Kiddicare, and Boots ranging in price from £8.00-£15.00
My child is safe and happy in this seat so i am one very happy customer :-)
Summary: excellent product, puts my mind at ease when it comes to safety at bathtime
