I thought because she was bigger, she was less likley to have a reaction to them, but this time it was much worse. Because her pooh's were bigger it just squelched out of the side everytime her poohs were a bit runny (she was teething at the time and i had quite a lot of runny poohs!). As far as price wise is concerned, yes they are ch...more

Premium Review Safeway Nappies: Value for money (122 words)

I have used Safeways Cotton Feel Nappies in the new born size for my little girl and I have found them to be just as effective as other leading brands such as Pampers / Huggies. The only draw back they have is they are a little more bulky than most brands, but still just as effective at keeping baby dry and as yet we have had no problems with leaks! These are excellent value for money nappies too, which makes a big difference when you compare them against the cost of Pampers etc when you think how many packs you will be getting through before your baby is out of nappies (£2.99 for 24 Safeways nappies compared to approx. £5.50 for 28 Pampers). ...  Read the complete review

I tried these nappies because Safeways is our nearest and largest supermarket and also my mum is a manager of the dry cleaning department there. They are reasonable value for money at £2.99 for 24 newborn nappies and rising in size and price accordingly. the newborn nappies fit 4 - 11lb but my son was nearly 11lb at birth and they fitted him perfectly, they fitted brilliant around his legs and his waist, and they also felt quite comfy on him, not too much bulge under clothing. They did leave a few reddish marks around the elastic on his legs. They only leaked a small amount but overall they were a pretty good buy. Unfortunately they don't bet huggies for excellence. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Safeway Nappies: Don't pay for the name. (152 words)

Once you baby has stopped peeing like a broken overflow don't fork out for the big brands. I started with boots and safeways fancy nappies when my children were young. As long as they aren't too sensitive you can go for the cheap brands. I often buy the Babydry nappies out of Safeway they are currently £2.99. No you can't reseal the tabs, they will burst when full but lets face it we should be changing them well before that. In the morning after having one on for 12 hours she has a clammy bum but no nappy rash and she always wakes with a smile. I am sorry but no amount af air flow, cotton covers, nice pics, velcro tabs and lotion strips make ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review soft cotton feel (292 words)

Safeway nappies are without shadow of a doubt the best I have used for my James. We tried Pampers, but he seemed to have nappy rash problems, the same thing happened with Huggies too. So when Safeway had their nappies on special offer we tried them out. To say that there is a great difference in the look and feel from Pampers would be wrong, but there was definately an improvement in my sons rash. Within a couple of days it had gone completely. The outer cover of the nappy is very soft, like cotton, no sweat creating plastic coating, as some nappies seem to have. The nappies are very absorbant too, we found that even the highest absorbancy Pampers ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Safeway Nappies: NOT MY CUP OF TEA (274 words)

I'm afraid to say I didn't like safeway nappies at all. Normally I like all of Safeway products but these were cheap and nasty. I have tried these a couple of times (different sizes) and on both occasions vowed I would never buy them again. When I first bought the newborn size (even though my daughter was 3 months old! She was prem and very small!) it left her bum feeling very sticky because the gel stuff inside leaked out on to her skin. It also gave her nappy rash because they dont hold too much! The second time I tried these was 2 months ago (Amy was 9 months by then) and i bought the midi size. I thought because she was bigger, she was less likley ...  Read the complete review
