Advantages: sorry but not many

Disadvantages: small, dry, non sensitive

I first purchased these wipes when I saw them on special offer in Sainsbury's a few weeks ago. I usually buy Pampers sensitive as my son has very sensitive skin and his cheeks will come up in a red rash if I use perfumed wipes on his face. As these were on offer and substantially cheaper than the Pampers wipes, I decided to purchase the four pack and give them a try.

*The wipes*

The wipes come in a pack of 80 and as of February 2009, are priced at the standard price of £1.19 which really is quite reasonable. The wipes packet has a resealable lid which make it much easier to keep the wipes moist and fresh and stop any liquid from leaking when taking them out with you.
The packet states that they are suitable for sensitive skin and are paediatrician approved.

*My verdict*

On my first use of the wipes, I was very happy with the lid facility of the wipes and found it a good attribute to have. The wipes themselves are smaller than the Pampers ones which we are used to, they are thinner and I'm not sure what the fragrance is but I don't like it. Even with a lid fastener, I find that the wipes are not as moist as I require for my little boy and find that I have to rub rather than wipe in certain areas. Doesn't this defeat the naming of the product? Due to the fact that they are smaller and drier than Pampers, I found that I had to use more of them and in the long run that they actually worked out no more economical than my usual premium brand.
I was also disappointed to find that when I wiped my toddler's face that he ended up with the usual sore looking red rashed cheeks that he also gets with fragranced wipes which leaves me questioning their sensitive shelf name.

*Summary*

Sorry Sainsbury's, normally I will back your products well and usually find hem to be of very good quality. This time I was left feeling disappointed with the product that I chose and can firmly say that I shall not be trying this product again, in fact I still have three packs left.
My verdict is that yes, the £1.19 price tag can be tempting but I find it much more value and kinder to my son's skin to dig a little deeper and buy the premium brand.

Summary: Not very good value for money
