... mummy is trying to tidy away! :~) When I use the wipes on my grand-daughter, I tend to need three or more on each application to remove any 'gifts' she has left! The wipes feel moist enough for the task in hand but far too limp and small to use singularly. Even at three and up per application they are inclined to roll up and cease to retain adequate shape contrary as other dearer wipes. These wipes have another down side; non flushable! Apart from a bargain back up to the more efficient brands, these wipes do not prov...more

Sainsbury's Basics Baby Wipes: basic is correct! (272 words)

Sainsburys basics baby wipes are as the name states basic. They do the job in which they are made for. I always purchase pampers but money is extremely tight at the moment so it's out of the question to even think of buying these brand named beauties. I purchased a packet priced at only 33p on their 1/3 off all baby products but they usually retail at around the 50p mark. I also purchased the next ones up as well which I will also review at a later date. Each packet contains approximately 80 wipes. The wipes are smaller than the average branded wipes and are a lot thinner. They don't feel rough but I found when using them on my ...  Read the complete review

It has been quite a few years since I have needed baby wipes for a baby, but I always like to have some in the car for sticky fingers or messy faces, I usually buy Pampers, no particualr reason just habit, but when I was in Sainsburys a few weeks ago I was quite shocked to see the price difference between these basic wipes and my usual pampers pack was a huge £1.50. So I gave the basic range a go and this is how they got on.... First impressions - Well the pack is plain white with the bright orange Sainsburys basic stripe. The pack isn't fancy in any way shape or form, but I guess that's why you are paying less. Whilst not fancy, it is distinctive and would be ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to wet wipes or baby wipes they are something of late I've really appreciated being around. As a single girl what would I do be doing with wet wipes though lol? Well firstly a couple of weeks back I was bed bound after having an injection into my spine. I could barely walk so I got a few packets of this type of thing to help me stay fresh and smell clean as I simply wasn't up to bathing and showering which is incredibly hard for a clean freak like me! Also my friend has dropped her little un off around here for a few hours quite a bit lately and yes she supplies wipes in her sons nappy bag but there is never enough for her little tyke so I like ...  Read the complete review

I'm no snob when it comes to shopping - I shop around and buy cheaper or own brand products whenever I can - but even in these tough times when we all need to watch our pennies, there are some products you just can't scrimp on. Everyone's list is different - some will never give up Heinz tomato ketchup, others might be eternally loyal to Ambrosia rice pudding, but right up at the top of my list is 'baby wipes'. I'm very fussy about what goes into and onto my son, and I'm not ashamed to say that when it comes to looking after Joshua's basic needs I will give him the best, even if it bankrupts me. Unfortunately the same can't be said for Joshua's father, who when asked to .  Read the complete review

I have really been trying to give the supermarkets own brand products a trial lately as to be honest most are as good as branded products, just the packaging is a lot more simplistic. I bought these Sainsburys baby wipes just for the bathroom really as they price was too good to avoid and in all honesty they really did look alright to me. I always like to have some wipes in but we had run out recently so with money being tight at Christmas I thought to buy these would be better than to have nothing at all and you get quite a lot in a pack. PACKAGING These come in the standard Sainsburys Basics packaging, a rectangular plastic packet with orange on ...  Read the complete review
